Its a neat platform with a couple templates other platforms dont have but for $40 a month (really $480 because you only have annual) its a wild miss on value vs. price.
The tool is slow, clunky, no full screen preview, no media library (all media is self generated), no AI functionality, poor copy/paste functionality for speed, very few stock options for things like animations, text, background configs, etc...
Would love to see BPM match added, an asset library/media library, and more.
in its current state, this is an overpriced and under gunned capcut.

Hey Zach, thanks for the feedback
- We do have a monthly plan, currently $59/mo. What did you see that made you think it was annual only? If you could point me to that so we can fix it that would be a huge help.
- We do have fullscreen preview (CMD+F). It's listed in the keyboard shortcuts menu.
- "no media library (all media is self generated)" - what do you mean by this? Do you mean a stock video footage library? (Kite is a screen recording tool for software demo videos, we are not trying to compete with capcut / general purpose editing tools and may not be a fit for the style of videos you're making, but if you can show an example of the type of videos you're trying to make that would help. We do have a royalty free music library, and a media library that shows your past recordings across projects).
- We have several AI-powered features and lots AI stuff coming, tell us what you need more specifically
- "poor copy/paste functionality for speed" what do you mean?
- "BPM match" –You want to sync music to elements in the video? Can you say more or point me towards this feature in another tool?
- What are your device specs and where do you notice performance issues? What do you find clunky?
- I hear you on the need for more templates / backgrounds / options

- It looks like there is now a monthly toggle on the pricing page. Previously, when I click "upgrade to pro" there was no monthly price toggle or I didnt see it. Thanks for confirming.
- Thanks for the shortcut tip. A small button would still be nice.
- Yes - I want to be able to add simple icons, elements, etc.
- For AI powered features - AI assisted editing, chat with kite, copy writer, voiceovers, remixers, bpm match to sync music and transitions, auto-cursor follow and zoom.
- CMD V and CMD C for copy paste are glitchy. It doesnt always work.
- You can't add multiple animations to a scene or at least I couldnt. I want to be able to animate the content, text, or any element on the screen during a scene
- For themes - allow imports from alternative locations users may store their brand guidelines. "import from canva" etc. I want it to be able to use my brand guidelines without adding them for every project.
- I can't get my logo to appear and the template logo to be removed from scene 15. It shows in the preview correctly but not in actual. Id share it with you but I cant on the free version.
It's a decent tool with potential but at this point the price does not justify the value. It could be my use cases (tutorials, educational content, social content). Happy to keep chatting.
